It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Wilson ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Rowland Raiders 6-5. The victory was some much needed relief for the Wildcats as it spelled an end to their six-game losing streak.

Christian Urbina was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Eduardo Velasco, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Wilson kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Wilson's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 6-8. As for Rowland, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-14 record this season.

Wilson and Rowland could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. The Wildcats (ranked 828th) will meet West Covina (ranked 399th) at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Rowland will face off against Northview at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank disadvantage (830 vs. 232).
