Baseball Game Preview: Palos Verdes Sea Kings vs. Redondo Union Sea Hawks

For the second straight game, Palos Verdes will face off against Redondo Union. The Sea Kings will be playing at home against the Sea Hawks at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. The last three games Palos Verdes has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Palos Verdes gave up the first runs on Wednesday, but they didn't let that get them down. They had just enough and edged out Redondo Union 3-2. The win continues a trend for the Sea Kings in their matchups with the Sea Hawks: they've now won four in a row.

For Redondo Union's part, Robby Zimmerman was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out nine batters over six innings while giving up three earned runs off nine hits (and not a single walk). The dominant performance also gave Zimmerman a new career-low in walks (zero).

At the plate, Redondo Union saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Taehan Kim, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Redondo Union has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season. As for Palos Verdes, their victory bumped their record up to 7-11.
