Cane Bay's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Goose Creek Gators an 8-0 shutout. The Cobras might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matches by eight runs or more this season.

Drew Grimm was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Mitchell Bennett, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Cane Bay's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Goose Creek, their loss was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-3-2.

Cane Bay will have a chance to go back-to-back against Goose Creek: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
