Baseball Game Preview: Pass Christian Pirates vs. Greene County Wildcats

For the second straight game, Pass Christian will face off against Greene County. The Pirates will face off against the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Pass Christian is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Greene County just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 6-2 to the Wildcats.

For Greene County's part, the team relied heavily on Cole Helton, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Those two stolen bases gave Helton a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kash Kittrell, who scored two runs while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

Greene County is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.9 runs over those games. As for Pass Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 10-13.
