Volleyball Recap: Streator/Woodland Comes Up Short on the Road Against Flanagan-Cornell

Streator/Woodland had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Flanagan-Cornell Falcons.

Streator/Woodland was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-4.

Flanagan-Cornell has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Streator/Woodland will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Ridgeview at 7:00 p.m. on September 15. As for Flanagan-Cornell, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Pontiac on the 27th.
