Basketball Recap: Navasota Makes It 14 in a Row on the Road

Navasota won the last time they faced La Grange and things went their way on Friday too. The Navasota Rattlers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 54-52 victory over the La Grange Leopards.

Campbell Cooper Sg 2027 and Kylie Trlicek certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Cooper Sg 2027 dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten boards, while Trlicek posted 19 points along with five assists and five steals. Cooper Sg 2027's evening made it five games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Macie Collier, who scored five points.

Navasota's win was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 19-10. As for La Grange, they moved to 19-10 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Navasota didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 59-15 victory against Giddings on the 20th. As for La Grange, they will square off against Smithville at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Smithville will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something La Grange surely won't give up without a fight.
