Basketball Recap: ASU Prep Comes Up Short

ASU Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were beaten by the Heritage Academy Heroes 64-34. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Sun Devils this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 50-15 back in December of 2024.

Several Sun Devils players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was David Cabral, who posted 13 points. Luis Acosta was another key player, putting up eight points.

ASU Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Heritage Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-2.

ASU Prep wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 64-62 loss against ASU Prep Poly on the 15th. Heritage Academy has also already played their next game (against Heritage Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
