Basketball Recap: Spring Grove Comes Up Short

On Tuesday, the Spring Grove Rockets came up short against the Octorara Area Braves and fell 56-48. That's two games in a row now that the Rockets have lost by exactly eight points.

Despite the loss, Spring Grove still got an impressive performance from Ky'Sier Ludvig, who shot 88% from the field on his way to 17 points and six rebounds. The dominant performance gave Ludvig a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Owen Renda, who posted eight points.

Spring Grove has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-14 record this season. Octorara Area's victory bumped their record up to 20-5.

Spring Grove does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Octorara Area, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 51-45 loss against Lampeter-Strasburg on the 27th.
