Basketball Recap: Crestview Extends Winning Streak to Seven

Crestview extended their winning streak to seven on Friday, bumping them up to 16-1. They really took it to the Garfield G-Men for the full four quarters, racking up an 83-37 victory. The Rebels have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 games by 33 points or more this season.

Addison Rhodes was her usual excellent self, shooting 71% from the field to rack up 45 points and eight rebounds. Her big performance that evening made it 37 games in a row in which she has scored at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Ava Bucey, who went 5-for-7 en route to 12 points and eight boards.

Crestview was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Garfield only racked up eight.

As for Garfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-6. They have struggled against Crestview recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Despite the loss, Garfield had strong showings from Mandy Cardinal, who posted 12 points, and Leah Hill, who earned nine points.

Coincidentally, Crestview and Garfield will both be playing LaBrae the next time they take the court. The Rebels will head out to face the Vikings at 6:15 p.m. on Monday, while the G-Men will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
