Mitchell kept a clean sheet against Fivay on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Fivay Falcons with a sharp 8-0 win. The Mustangs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 games by three goals or more this season.

They hit Fivay with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from David Gillespie (4), Asher Bode (2), Dion Shala, and Caden Pappas.

Mitchell pushed their record up to 12-1-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 17 goals over those three matchups. As for Fivay, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-11.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Mitchell and Springstead will dust off their jerseys to challenge one another at 7:30 p.m. on January 8, 2025. As for Fivay, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Gulf at 6:00 p.m. on January 8, 2025. Fivay is facing Gulf at the right time seeing as Gulf is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
