Football Game Preview: Don Soffer Aventura Barracuda vs. Monsignor Pace Spartans

Don Soffer Aventura hasn't had much luck against Monsignor Pace recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Barracuda will take on the Spartans at 3:30 p.m. Don Soffer Aventura's defense has only allowed 10.5 points per game this season, so Monsignor Pace's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Don Soffer Aventura is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They secured a 6-0 W over Carol City. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Barracuda.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Monsignor Pace). They took their game on Wednesday with ease, bagging a 41-0 victory over Academy for Innovative Education. Given the Spartans' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 181st, while the Aviators are ranked 401st) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Monsignor Pace didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Aleaijah Russel and Imani Davis. Davis got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Don Soffer Aventura's record is now 6-7. As for Monsignor Pace, their win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-7.

Things could have been worse for Don Soffer Aventura, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 21-7 loss to Monsignor Pace in their previous matchup back in February. Can the Barracuda avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
