Basketball Recap: Pomona Comes Up Short

Pomona lost against Bassett back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Pomona Red Devils had to suffer through a 74-13 loss at the hands of the Bassett Olympians. The contest marked the Red Devils' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Carmine Carrillo was Pomona's leading scorer, having posted six points. Alex Mejia held things down on the boards with ten rebounds.

This is the second loss in a row for Pomona and nudges their season record down to 1-9. As for Bassett, their victory bumped their record up to 9-12.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pomona has already played their next match (against La Puente), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Bassett will challenge Edgewood at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
