Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Muncie Burris). They strolled past the Hagerstown Tigers with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 54-40. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Owls also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2024.

Sydney Jackson had a dynamite game for Muncie Burris, going 11 of 25 on her way to 28 points and four steals. Another player making a difference was Ja'Maria Jackson, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 boards.

Hagerstown lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Mackenzee Johnson, who posted ten points along with five rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Lilly Catey, who earned eight points in addition to six boards and four steals.

The win made it two in a row for Muncie Burris and bumps their season record up to 3-14. As for Hagerstown, their loss was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-19.

Muncie Burris didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 42-33 defeat against Union on the 27th. Hagerstown has also already played their next game, a 48-40 loss against Anderson Prep Academy on the 28th.
