In Friday's Canine Competition, Heights came out on top. They breezed past the Westside Wolves to the tune of 55-12 on Friday. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by 21 points or more this season.

A big part of Heights' victory came down to the chemistry between Kobe Miles and his top target Christopher Martin. Miles threw for 280 yards and seven TDs on only 19 passes while Martin gained 191 total yards and three touchdowns. Martin really caught the secondary sleeping when he pulled down a catch that went for 76 yards. Heights' leading receiver Nelson Rodriguez was Miles' top target yet again, picking up 53 receiving yards and three touchdowns.

Despite the loss, Westside still got an impressive performance from Dillyn White, who rushed for 115 yards and one score. White's rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his seventh straight game with at least 109 rushing yards.

Heights pushed their record up to 6-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 44.8 points over those games. As for Westside, their loss dropped their record down to 2-8.

Looking ahead, Heights will take on Stratford at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Bulldogs will be up against the Spartans' rather soft defense (which has allowed 30.2 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. Westside does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
