The Peoria Panthers will head out to challenge the Estrella Foothills Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Estrella Foothills will be up against a hot Peoria team: the squad just extended their winning streak to six. Peoria blew past Cactus, posting a 71-9 victory. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 99th, while the Cobras are ranked 290th), the result on Wednesday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Estrella Foothills, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They blew past Deer Valley 68-27 on Wednesday.

Estrella Foothills pushed their record up to 20-3 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 20.4 points per game. As for Peoria, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3.

Peoria took a serious blow against Estrella Foothills when the teams last played back in January of 2024, falling 78-27. Thankfully for Peoria, Madison Pond (who went 6 for 8 from beyond the arc en route to 22 points along with eight steals and five rebounds) won't be suiting up this time.
