Papillion-LaVista South waltzed into their matchup on Friday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They came within five points of losing the streak, but they secured a 24-19 W against the Elkhorn South Storm. For the Titans, this counts as revenge for the 28-20 win the Storm walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

A big part of Papillion-LaVista South's victory came down to the chemistry between Colin Raybourn and his top target Brady Alderson. Raybourn threw for 191 yards and one TD while completing 80% of his passes while Alderson picked up 129 receiving yards and a pair of scores. The bulk of those receiving yards came from one huge play: a catch that gained an incredible 80 yards. Elon Washington also helped out with an impressive 88 receiving yards.

Jaydon Sutko and Charlie Buller certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Sutko gained 117 total yards and two touchdowns, while Buller rushed for 79 yards on only ten carries.

Papillion-LaVista South's win bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Elkhorn South, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 7-2.

As of now, neither Papillion-LaVista South nor the Storm have any future games scheduled.
