Volleyball Game Preview: Andrada Polytechnic Mavericks vs. Tanque Verde Hawks + How To Watch

The Andrada Polytechnic Mavericks will head out on the road to take on the Tanque Verde Hawks at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Andrada Polytechnic turned things around against Palo Verde on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Titans with a sharp 3-0 win.

Empire typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Tanque Verde proved too difficult a challenge. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Ravens. The game was the first time the Hawks have beaten the Ravens on their court since September 1, 2022.

While Tanque Verde might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Empire scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-18, 25-19.

Andrada Polytechnic better focus on containing Lauren Strada and Alexia Adams as the pair were huge in Tanque Verde's win. Strada had seven aces and five digs, while Adams had 12 digs and two aces. Those seven aces gave Strada a new career-high.

Tanque Verde was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 19 aces. They are 16-2 when they serve at least ten aces.

Andrada Polytechnic's record now sits at 9-7. As for Tanque Verde, their record is now 19-11.

Andrada Polytechnic might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Tanque Verde in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Can the Mavericks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
