Volleyball Recap: International's Winning Streak Snapped at Five Games

International and Greenwood Christian Academy squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but International had to settle for second. They lost 3-0 to the Cougars. Considering the last time the Gryphons couldn't score was back in September, the team can't take the result too hard.

Kate Reed was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had ten digs and two aces. What's more, she racked up seven assists, the most she's had since back in September. Aiva Kresge also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

With the defeat, International broke their five-match winning streak and moved their record to 13-11. As for Greenwood Christian Academy, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 21-12.

International does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Greenwood Christian Academy, after both having extra time off, they and Trinity Lutheran will shake off the rust and duke it out at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
