Basketball Recap: Bayside Takes a Loss

Bayside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Green Run Stallions and fell 99-20. While losing is never fun, the Marlins can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 339th, while the Stallions are ranked 120th).

Bayside's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Green Run, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bayside will challenge Kellam at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Green Run, they will square off against First Colonial at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Green Run has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
