Basketball Recap: Justin Marx Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Western Brown

Harrison won the last time they faced Western Brown and things went their way on Saturday too. The Harrison Wildcats walked away with a 58-46 win over the Western Brown Broncos.

Harrison's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Justin Marx led the charge by almost dropping a double-double with 11 points and nine rebounds. Those nine boards gave Marx a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Tucker Ward, who went 7-for-14 to rack up 20 points.

Harrison was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Harrison's victory bumped their record up to 7-13. As for Western Brown, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 5-16 record this season.

Harrison didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 51-40 win against Talawanda on the 11th. As for Western Brown, they will head out on the road to challenge Wilmington at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
