Baseball Recap: Nettleton Comes Up Short

Nettleton came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Wynne Yellowjackets, falling 14-4. The Raiders have struggled against the Yellowjackets recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Ford Raffo was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring three runs while going 2-for-2. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season.

Nettleton's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Wynne, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-6.

Nettleton will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Paragould at 4:30 p.m. on the 22nd. As for Wynne, they will square off against Forrest City at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
