6A Region 3 recap December 3, 2013
Adding to the longest winning streak in 6A Region 3 this week, Oak Grove beat Meridian 45-14. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.
Oak Grove took down the Wildcats 45-14 last week, the largest margin of any game. Kirk McCarty threw for 412 yards and 4 touchdowns and ran for 46 yards in the win.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Nevill Barr's team's McCarty and Jordan Duncan have proven to be a lethal combination. 5-0 quarterback McCarty has thrown for 3,782 yards this season, while Duncan has 60 catches for 868 yards. Petal's Tyus Raine leads the league in rushing yards with 1,659.
In 199 carries DEMARQUE BROWN has put up 954 yards this year.
The Warriors led the league in scoring this week by notching 45 points on Meridian. McCarty ran for 46 yards during the win.
