Softball Recap: Coldwater Comes Up Short

Coldwater came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Marshall Redhawks, falling 12-2. The loss continues a trend for the Cardinals in their meetings with the Redhawks: they've now lost three in a row.

Coldwater's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Marshall, the win (which was their fourth in a row dating back to last season) raised their record to 3-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Coldwater will venture away from home to square off against Pennfield at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Marshall, they will square off against Otsego at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
