Basketball Recap: Mount Vernon Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Mount Vernon can now relate to. They fell 45-36 to the Paradise Panthers on Friday. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2014.

Mount Vernon has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 17-13 record this season. As for Paradise, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 24-10.

Mount Vernon does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Paradise, they will face off against Tatum on Monday. One thing working in Tatum's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight games.
