Basketball Recap: Bell's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Bell had lost four straight headed into Wednesday's game, but Aaron Ake didn't let it get to five. The Bell Eagles took down the South Gate Rams 56-38 on Wednesday thanks in part to Ake, who posted 21 points. That makes it 11 consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Bell's points.

Bell's win bumped their record up to 5-10. As for South Gate, they are on a 15-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-19.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bell will face off against Huntington Park at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for South Gate, they will host South East at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
