Lake Zurich won the last time they faced Lake Forest and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Bears came out on top against the Scouts by a score of 2-0.

While Lake Zurich won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-22.

Lake Zurich was led to victory by Ella Elsen and Malia McManus. Elsen had 11 assists and seven digs, while McManus had six digs and three assists. Those three assists gave McManus a new career-high.

Lake Zurich's victory bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Lake Forest, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-9.

Coming up, Lake Zurich will challenge Fremd at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Lake Forest, they will be taking part in a tournament against Belvidere at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday.
