Soccer Game Preview: Long Beach vs. George County

Long Beach has won four straight games at home, while George County has won four straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Long Beach Bearcats will host the George County Rebels at 7:00 p.m. The two teams are at an even 3-3 against one another since November of 2017, but likely not for long.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Long Beach's offense. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hancock on Tuesday. The shutout was out of character for the Bearcats seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in November of 2024.

Meanwhile, it may have taken extra minutes to finish the job, but George County ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand Pascagoula a 2-0 shutout. The Rebels' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last five contests.

Long Beach's loss dropped their record down to 4-9-2. As for George County, their win bumped their record up to 11-4.
