Softball Recap: Julian Comes Up Short

Julian was the 10-7 winner over Calipatria when they last played one another back in April, but their luck changed this time around. The Eagles lost 17-3 to the Hornets on Friday. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Julian saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hailey Bennett, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Julian's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Calipatria, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-9 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Julian will take on Vincent Memorial at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Calipatria, they will square off against Warner at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Wildcats will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something the Hornets surely won't give up without a fight.
