After having lost a blowout in their previous game against St. Clairsville, Edison was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They came out on top against the Harrison Central Huskies by a score of 3-1. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Wildcats as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

Edison had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 18-25, 25-19, 25-17, 25-9.

Their offense was headlined by Aliya Glover and Graclynn Dray, who picked up nine kills apiece. They got some help from Sophia Henderson and her 26 assists. Dray also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Bella Cronin, racking up four apiece.

Edison's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-10. As for Harrison Central, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-9.

Edison and Harrison Central could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. The Wildcats (ranked 705th) will meet Brooke (ranked 85th) at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Harrison Central will take on East Liverpool at 6:30 p.m. on Monday with a big rank disadvantage (650 vs. 244).
