Football Game Preview: Zarephath Academy Eagles vs. West Oaks Academy Flame

Zarephath Academy is preparing for their first district matchup of the season on Friday. They will host the West Oaks Academy Flame at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Zarephath Academy managed to slip by Lafayette the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Eagles were outmatched by the Hornets and fell 43-14. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 6-6 at halftime, West Oaks Academy was not quite Interlachen's equal in the second half on Friday. They lost 38-18 to the Rams. While the Flame didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Rams 6-0 in the first quarter.

West Oaks Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Zarephath Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 1-4.

Everything came up roses for Zarephath Academy against West Oaks Academy in their previous meeting back in September of 2024, as the team secured a 36-0 win. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Flame have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
