Soccer Game Preview: Petaluma vs. Vintage

Petaluma hasn't had much luck against Vintage recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Petaluma Trojans are taking a road trip to take on the Vintage Crushers at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Friday, it was close, but Petaluma sidestepped Justin-Siena for a 2-1 win. The victory continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Braves: they've now won four in a row.

Cris Carmona and Jordan Tetreau scored both of Petaluma's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 11 goals.

Meanwhile, Vintage hasn't lost a match since December 10, 2024, a trend which continued in their latest game on Friday. They put the hurt on American Canyon with a sharp 3-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Crushers, who have now won six games by three goals or more so far this season.

Vintage has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-2-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 20 goals over those seven matchups. As for Petaluma, their victory bumped their record up to 6-8-3.

Petaluma came up short against Vintage in their previous meeting two weeks ago, falling 3-1. Can Petaluma avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
