 The Halifax Academy Vikings will head out on the road to  square off against  the Rocky Mount Academy Eagles at 5:30  p.m.  on Monday. The two teams have allowed few  runs on average, (Halifax Academy: 3.9, Rocky Mount Academy: 2.6) so any  runs scored will be well earned.
 Halifax Academy will roll into the  match after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one  run  on Monday, then bounced right back against Ridgecroft  on Wednesday. Halifax Academy never let Ridgecroft onto the board and left with  a   12-0  win. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest  victory Halifax Academy has managed all season.

 Like Halifax Academy, Rocky Mount Academy also got a great game from a two-way player:  Landry Miller. She  struck out 12 batters over  seven innings while giving up just one earned run off   four  hits. Miller was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring two  runs while going 3-for-4.
 In other batting news,  Gabbi Ams was  excellent,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was  Katie Bulluck, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-3.
 Halifax Academy's record now sits at 7-8. As for Rocky Mount Academy, their record is now 11-2.
 Halifax Academy came up short against Rocky Mount Academy when the teams last played  back in March, falling  6-2. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of  Rocky Mount Academy's  Berkeley Miller, who   struck out ten batters over  seven innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   seven  hits (and not a single walk).
