Volleyball Recap: Heritage Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Heritage can now relate to. They lost 3-0 to the Academy of Richmond County Musketeers on Saturday.

When it comes to explaining why Heritage lost, don't look at Addyson Morrison. Despite the final result, she had ten digs and one assist. Morrison has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last five times she's played.

Academy of Richmond County can attribute much of their success to Berkeley Jones, who had ten digs and three aces.

Heritage has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 22-22 record this season. As for Academy of Richmond County, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 34-3.

Heritage does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Academy of Richmond County, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against LaFayette on the 22nd.
