Softball Recap: Bakersfield Takes a Loss

Bakersfield lost against Highland back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Drillers lost 9-1 to the Scots. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Drillers have suffered since March 21st.

Bakersfield saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Serenity Hernandez-Alvidrez, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.

Bakersfield's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Highland, they pushed their record up to 10-2-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Scots beat Bakersfield by a score of 12-0 on Friday.
