The Cambridge N/A have not had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They came out on top against Saratoga Central Catholic by a score of 49-39 on Monday. That's another feather in the cap for Cambridge, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Cambridge found their leader in underclassman Charonne Berthiaume, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Those four steals set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Ashley Moses, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds.
Cambridge's win bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Saratoga Central Catholic, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cambridge will take on Hoosick Falls at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Saratoga Central Catholic, they will play host again and welcome Canajoharie, where tip off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Canajoharie is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
