Basketball Recap: Landen Turnbo Key Part of a Team Effort in Rockets Win

Robinson posted their closest victory since November 26th on Friday. They had just enough and edged the Grandview Zebras out 49-46. For the Rockets, this counts as revenge for the 66-53 win the Zebras walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2019.

Robinson's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Landen Turnbo led the charge by going 5 of 11 on his way to 12 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Peyton Tindell, who went 5 for 11 on his way to 11 points and four steals.

Robinson has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-13 record this season. As for Grandview, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-11.

When Robinson and Grandview next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Robinson will try to stop McGregor's three-game winning streak when the meet at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Similarly, Grandview will try to stop Marlin's five-game winning streak when the meet at 10:30 a.m. on Friday.
