It was a good run, but Carlyle unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 52-37 bruising from the Columbia Eagles. The game marked the Indians/Lady Indians' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Eddie Smajic was his usual excellent self, putting up 26 points for Columbia. The contest was Smajic's third in a row with at least ten points. Brody Landgraf was another key player, earning ten points.

Carlyle's defeat dropped their record down to 16-3. As for Columbia, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 16-4.
