Volleyball Recap: UR Academy Starts Season with Loss at Home

UR Academy unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell 3-1 to the Walnut Grove Christian Christian Warriors on Tuesday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 16-25, 25-11, 25-9.

The victory snapped Walnut Grove Christian's losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 2-5 record.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. UR Academy will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on NorthPoint Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on September 5. As for Walnut Grove Christian, they will face off against Lee Park Prep at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
