Cordova waltzed into their match on Thursday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Oakman Wildcats. That's the fourth time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 2-0 victory last Tuesday.

Cordova easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-14.

Cordova's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lexee King, who had three digs and two aces. King has been hot for a while, having also posted 14 or more assists the last nine times she's played. Another player making a difference was Chloe Kacharos, who had six kills and five digs.

Cordova's win bumped their record up to 23-15. As for Oakman, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-14.

Looking ahead, Cordova will face off against Carbon Hill at 9:30 a.m. on Friday. As for Oakman, they will head out to face off against Winfield at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
