Basketball Recap: Petersburg Takes a Loss

Petersburg lost against Craig last Friday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Petersburg Vikings fell to the Craig Panthers 46-42. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ayden Benolken was his usual excellent self, putting up 22 points for Craig. The game was Benolken's third in a row with at least ten points. Brody Bazinet was another key player, posting eight points.

Petersburg's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Craig, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Petersburg will look to defend their home court on Friday against Wrangell at 6:00 p.m. Petersburg is facing Wrangell at the right time seeing as Wrangell is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Craig, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Metlakatla at 7:00 p.m. on February 14th.
