Soccer Game Preview: Gretna vs. South Sioux City

Gretna is 0-3 against South Sioux City since April of 2015 but things could change on Thursday. The Dragons will look to take advantage of their home pitch for the first time this season as they take on the Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

While Gretna's win against Waverly wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Dragons had just enough and edged out the Vikings 2-1. Gretna haven't had any issues with Waverly recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, South Sioux City kept a clean sheet against Gross Catholic on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Cougars with a sharp 10-0 win. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for South Sioux City considering their one-goal performance the game before.

Gretna now has a winning record of 2-1. As for South Sioux City, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.
