Soccer Game Preview: Vail Mountain vs. Middle Park

The Vail Mountain Rangers will head out on the road to face off against the Middle Park Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Vail Mountain is looking to tack another W on to their season record, something they couldn't quite do against Aspen on Thursday. Neither the Rangers nor the Skiers could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Vail Mountain's goal came courtesy of Colm Kinney, who's now up to four this season.

Meanwhile, Saturday just wasn't the day for Middle Park's offense. They lost 4-0 to Coal Ridge on Saturday. Middle Park haven't had much luck with Coal Ridge recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Vail Mountain's draw gives them a new season record of 1-10-1. As for Middle Park, they now have a losing record of 6-7-1.

Everything went Vail Mountain's way against Middle Park when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as Vail Mountain made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rangers since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
