Preview: Carey Blue Devils vs. Crestview Cougars
Carey has been on the road for two straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on The Crestview Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Carey has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 217 points over their last four games.
Carey stacked a seventh blowout onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They breezed by Seneca East on the road to the tune of 55-6. Given Carey's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 185th, while Seneca East is ranked 459th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Crestview came up short against Mapleton on Friday and fell 28-18.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Ayden Reymer, who rushed for 90 yards and a touchdown.
Carey's win was their ninth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 9-2. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 35 points. As for Crestview, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6.
Everything came up roses for Carey against Crestview in their previous meeting back in November of 2021 as the team secured a 42-14 victory. Will Carey repeat their success, or does Crestview have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
