Minarets hadn't done well against Sierra recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Mustangs came out on top against the Chieftains by a score of 11-8. This was a revenge game for the Mustangs: when they faced off against the Chieftains last Friday, they had to take a 13-3 defeat.

Minarets' victory bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Sierra, they dropped their record down to 8-8 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Minarets will face off against rival Liberty at 4:00 p.m. on the 22nd. Meanwhile, Sierra is set to take on their familiar foe Yosemite at 4:00 p.m. on the 22nd.
