Softball Recap: Gretna Comes Up Short

Gretna was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 11-2 to the Tunstall Trojans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-0 last Tuesday.

Gretna saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Marihlyn East, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Gretna's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Tunstall, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 5-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gretna will head out to square off against Jefferson Forest at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Jefferson Forest will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Gretna surely won't give up without a fight. As for Tunstall, they will venture away from home to take on Dan River at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
