Basketball Recap: Academy of Holy Angels Comes Up Short

After flying high against Fridley last Wednesday, Academy of Holy Angels came back down to earth. The Academy of Holy Angels Stars took a blow against the DeLaSalle Islanders on Friday, falling 81-41. The Stars have struggled against the Islanders recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Academy of Holy Angels' defeat dropped their record down to 10-6. As for DeLaSalle, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

Academy of Holy Angels and DeLaSalle should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Minnesota Rankings. Academy of Holy Angels will take on Columbia Heights at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday up 233 places (93 vs. 326). Similarly, DeLaSalle (ranked 12th) will meet St. Anthony Village (ranked 90th) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
