Baseball Recap: Five Straight Home Wins for Tamalpais

While Tamalpais's victory against De Anza wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Tamalpais narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past De Anza 3-1. The victory was nothing new for the Red Tailed Hawks as they're now sitting on three straight.

Scott Olinger looked comfortable as he struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and not a single walk). That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in March.

On the hitting side, Tamalpais' win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Will Gensler, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Tamalpais' victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-3. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.6 runs over those games. As for De Anza, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-6-1.

Looking ahead, Tamalpais will square off against Branson at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for De Anza, they will face off against Albany at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Albany's pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so De Anza's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
