Basketball Recap: Montbello Skates Past Englewood with Ease

You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Montbello on Saturday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew the Englewood Pirates out of the water with a 64-5 final score. The Warriors pushed the score to 61-4 by the end of the third, a deficit the Pirates had no chance of recovering from.

Montbello found their leader in sophomore Juanita Dixon, who posted 23 points and eight steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jameya McMillion, who earned 12 points and eight rebounds.

Montbello wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 55-24 loss against Northglenn on the 14th. As for Englewood, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 62-6 defeat against Littleton on the 10th.
