On Wednesday, Awaken Christian was able to grind out a solid victory over American Heritage Academy, taking the game 42-29. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Awaken Christian.
Phoenix Sharp continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 26 points along with six rebounds and three steals. That makes it six consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Awaken Christian's points. Another player making a difference was Kaylee Rasmussen, who scored eight points along with seven steals.
Awaken Christian's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-7. As for American Heritage Academy, they now have a losing record at 3-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games.
