Basketball Game Preview: Coahulla Creek Colts vs. Sonoraville Phoenix

The Coahulla Creek Colts will head out on the road to take on the Sonoraville Phoenix at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. Coahulla Creek is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

On Tuesday, Coahulla Creek came up short against Murray County and fell 59-46. While losing is never fun, the Colts can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 354th, while the Indians are ranked 99th).

Meanwhile, Sonoraville ended up a good deal behind North Murray on Tuesday and lost 61-47. The Phoenix haven't had much luck with the Mountaineers recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Coahulla Creek's loss dropped their record down to 9-15. As for Sonoraville, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-18.

Coahulla Creek beat Sonoraville 54-42 in their previous matchup back in December of 2025. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Colts since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
